2020 Freefall Music Festival canceled

- - OTHER COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING STILL HAPPENING - -

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, WTJU 91.1 FM and IX Art Park have decided to cancel Charlottesville’s 2020 Freefall Music & Art Festival, originally scheduled for August 29 through October 3.

Throughout the fall, IX Art Park will program socially distanced outdoor concerts, arts events, and farmers markets, in compliance with current Virginia executive orders. IX’s current schedule is online at IXArtPark.org.

In addition, the Charlottesville-Albemarle Black Business Expo will be held in virtual format at BlackBusinessExpo.org on Saturday, September 26. Since its inception in 2017, the Black Business Expo has been part of Freefall.

All events are FREE of charge. Each week features live music, kids activities, food trucks, and beer, wine & soft drinks.

Get ready for the 7th annual Cville Sabroso: Charlottesville's annual Latin American music and folklife festival.

Organized with Sin Barreras, Cville Sabroso includes authentic food, music, and dance from many different Latin American countries. Plus kids activities and more for the whole family. A whole day of colorful events from the traditional to the contemporary.

The Black Business Expo supports and celebrates local black-owned businesses. It is a FREE event designed to celebrate and encourage the success of black-owned businesses locally and beyond.

Music and kids activities throughout the day. Don’t miss reggae/blues singer, guitarist, bandleader, prophet Corey Harris, headlining the stage.
