This year's FreeFall lineup features a veritable cornucopia of community festivals. But none are more distinctive than LoveFest!

LoveFest 2019: Free Love will be held on Saturday, September 7 from noon to 11pm.

The event features a line-up of 10 bands emulating the music of Woodstock, including Bhakti Boys, Positive Collective, Mojo Pie, Beleza, The Judy Chops, Sweet Afton, Chamomile & Whiskey, The Falsies, Black Masala and one secret special guest.

“Our first LoveFest was to commemorate Monterey Pop’s 50th anniversary and the Summer of Love,” Wimer says.

"At the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, this year's Lovefest echoes the energy and egalitarianism of that experiment. And it’s free. Free Love.”

Beyond the music, the event will use a “Free Store” and a “Trust Cafe” to foster a collaborative, creative community built on trust, gratitude and love, and to celebrate the volunteers, free programs and social services that make living in Charlottesville more equitable for everyone.

LoveFest 2019: Free Love is made possible by generous grants from Nest Realty, Crutchfield, Bold Rock Cider, David Posner, the Bama Works Fund, and the Charlottesville Albemarle Convention and Visitors Bureau.
